We start with the pier print and utility plan for each new home allowing us to set our drops according to each home so we don't have to run water lines and sewer lines they can drop into the foundation, This will help prevent freeze up's in the cold winters, then we set our foundation 6 inches of slag and 6 inches of concrete making our foundations 1 foot thick. Some people say this is over done, however it goes back to doing it right the first time. We then secure the home to the concrete, we also secure our skirting to the concrete with albumin screws making for a tight fit and the albumin will not rust so they will hold up longer, with the heat working properly in your home and the skirting tightly set this will also make less issues as the cold winters set in.
