Did you know? By replacing the old thermostat with one that's programmable, and having it set to turn down while you are sleeping, by 5 or 6 degrees will $ave you on your heating bills. You can also do this while your at work for more $avings, this also works for air conditioning for the summer months. Why pay for extra heat and air if you don't have to? |
Did you know? Replacing the old, water-guzzling toilets could save you money. Changing from an old 3.5 gallon per flush toilet to a new High Efficiency Toilet that uses 1.3 gallons per flush can save over 15,000 gallons of water per year per toilet. That can add up to substantial savings on your water bill. |
|
Did you know? If you are at least 65 years of age or if you are on social security disability you qualify for the homestead tax credit, this could save you about 1/3 on your tax bill. Contact the county auditor’s office and check into it. |
Did you know? If your drain is running slow, you can pour about quart bleach down the drain before bedtime, and by morning it should be running just fine. Plus it's not hard on you pipes; like other drain cleaners. |

Please begin to take a look around your home if things are looking ruff from the hard winter. Why not? take some time and do some sprucing up, like everyone we are looking forward to warmer weather. We are thinking about doing something special this year to help encourage "A Community Pride Day". Some of our homeowners have done such a great job with their homes and landscape, while others need some encouragement, or maybe a helping hand, why not be more community minded and "brighten the smile" of a neighbor, and help them plant some flowers, spread some mulch, or offer a helping hand. We have several older homeowners who could appreciate the gesture. On June 5th we would like to have our Community Pride Day this is on a Saturday then at 5pm wrap it up with a a Community Picnic where Twin Lake Homes will provide the hamburgers and the hot dogs, and Potato Salad join the activity committee and help us get things going around here. Click here on the {Contact Us} link and tell us what you think, our thought for today is a better community for all. |

A Safety Tip; Tough economic times always ads to a rise in crimes; you don’t need to be an easy target. Don’t make it easy for criminals to take advantage of you. Plan to be safe. For instance, always lock your car doors and don’t leave anything of value in plain sight. Lock them in your trunk. Always put your credit cards away, don’t leave them in your car or loose in your purse. Be certain that you know where they are at all times. Use caution when you go to an ATM. Be aware of your surroundings.
